Elegy for America

On November 2, 2004 there was a horrible catastrophe. 59,459,765 Americans said that they favor a policy of Violence over Peace, Intolerance over Justice, Large Corporations over Economic Sanity, and Fear over Freedom and Liberty.  For a week I have mourned the loss of a connection to being an American that I had gained on 9/11/2001. As a composer I responded in the only way I could, with a work evoking my grief.

Now I wish to share this work with everyone for 2 reasons: 
  1. That it might help others deal with their grief
  2. To help those of us who believe that America can be more then it has recently shown, to stand and unite for the cause of freedom. To be proud to be Liberals.
